I have completely blown up my family's Christmas traditions by moving away.  No BalletMet Nutcracker, no Timbuk Farms Christmas tree excursion, no singing at WUMC on Christmas Eve.  So what better year to really make a change in the usual activities?  When I heard that my sister and my mom are spending Christmas in Miami to watch my nephew play in a basketball tournament, I thought I'd join them.  I'll spend Christmas Eve with Dad here in Huntsville, then fly to Florida on Christmas Day.  This will actually be perfect, because I have missed a lot of Wesley's basketball games since I moved.  Basketball and the beach!  Merry Christmas!

I have to mention that I'm also sad to miss Sean's graduation from Ohio State on Dec. 17.  What a fantastic young man!!  I'll send him a gift, and I'm trying to get him an interview with Axalta, but I wish I could go to the ceremony and the grad party.  Thank goodness for cell phones so that I can occasionally reach out to the folks I left behind when I left Ohio.

Ohio, I am coming back for you someday.  My heart is there.  Count on it.

All the best in 2018!!!
