Do yourself a favor . . . go to youtube and search Lancaster Chorale Perfect Love Patrick Hawes. I have a new favorite piece of music. Listening to this piece caused such an exquisite ache in my heart that I thought it would break into pieces. The Chorale sings it with such sensitivity and tenderness that I weep every time I hear it. I am going to suggest to our director that we learn it in the Huntsville Master Chorale. The text is so moving (based on one of the most famous bible verses about love), so simple, and so optimistic about the power and need for love, it touched me deeply. The music is beyond gorgeous. To sing this unaccompanied takes the highest dedication and talent; I would be ecstatic if I could one day sing this amazing piece of music (and sing it well). Well done, my friends.
