Many people are afraid to speak in public or give presentations.  I used to be mildly trepidacious about it, too.  But if you seek out some presentation training and practice this skill, you will find that the fear recedes.  I took a seminar on presenting, and the most effective tool I discovered was recording myself!  We prepared a short (5 minute) presentation using Power Point and recorded it on our phones when we presented to the group.  I discovered that when I allow my natural hand gestures and mannerisms to flow, I was a more interesting and authentic speaker.  When I attempted to pull back (for example, I was under the erroneous impression that my hand gestures were too big) I appeared nervous and uncertain of myself.  I was also able to identify improvements that I could make with my audience eye contact and not reading from the slides.  Record yourself and see where your awkwardness shows up!  Then consciously make changes were improvement is needed and you will become a more confident and effective presenter!  Really let your natural personality come across, and watch what a difference it makes.
