I love to take trips! When I was laid off, I had to curtail all except a few a year, that I could drive to, and during which I could stay with friends and family to save money. Now I have several trips scheduled: Las Vegas in June 2017; Venice, Florida in June 2017; Milwaukee in July 2017; Ohio in August 2017; Lakewood, WI in Sept 2017; Nashville in Oct 2017; then Ohio for Thanksgiving and Christmas. It's fun to try new places, go back to well-known places, meet friends and family that I haven't seen for a while, and take a break from the everyday life. A good friend has invited me to San Diego for a visit and I haven't ever been, so I'm definitely going to plan that. Some great friends are in Atlanta, and now that I live in the south, I'm going to go and visit them as soon as I'm settled in my new home. I've been dying to get back to Sausalito since the first time I visited; maybe in 2018. And I want to go back to Ireland, especially if I can convince my mom and siblings to join me. Or maybe I'll meet a significant other who can travel with me. It could happen (ha ha). You can really feel your spirit re-charge when you take a break and go to a fun or peaceful destination. I still plan to be frugal with my money so that I never have to worry if I can take care of myself long-term, but these kinds of trips are necessary to enhance your enjoyment of life.
